Samoa chooses consulate site in American Samoa

The Samoa Government has decided on a temporary location for its consulate office in American Samoa.

The chief executive officer of the Ministry of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Auseugafa Poloma Komiti, says the

office will be housed in the Methodist Building in Fagatogo.

Auseugafa says the office should be opened in two weeks.

He says credentials of the consul, Mataafa Tomasi Esera, are being reviewed by the US State Department and he expects approval to be given within a few days.
