Three Eastern Highlands men have been beaten to death in Papua New Guinea because of their alleged involvement in sorcery at a settlement in Lae in Morobe province.
Police say the three men were suspected of applying sorcery on a young child who died in hospital.
The policeman who dealt with the case said there was now a provision in the constitution that dealt with sorcery cases and people suspected of being involved in sorcery should be reported to police.
