American Samoa's Congressman Faleomavaega Eni Hunkin is recovering after undergoing a successful bypass heart operation in the United States.
The politician was treated at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda in the state of Maryland.
According to the statement from his office, doctors expect the congressman to return to a regular work schedule when Congress reconvenes in early September.
