Lawmakers in the Federated States of Micronesia have begun what officials describe as one of the busiest sessions of Congress in the nation's history.
Representatives have convened in the capital, Pohnpei, to finalise the Budget for the 2006 financial year.
They have just two weeks to consider more than 50 Bills.
These include major initiatives in the areas of tax reform, foreign investment policy and social security.
Congress will also consider a presidential nomination for associate justice of the FSM Supreme Court.
Members are expected to consider the current fuel price crisis and developments in the banking sector.
The session must be completed before the start of next month.
