New Zealand's Prime Minister, Helen Clark, visited Solomon Islands on the way to Papua New Guinea for the forum.
She made the flying visit to Honiara, along with other Pacific leaders travelling with her, to inspect progress made by the Regional Assistance Mission.
The delegation included Samoa's Prime Minister, the President of Kiribati and Nauru's President.
