Several hundred turn out in Marshalls to hear Rev Moon speak

7:10 am on 5 December 2005

Despite many Christian and Catholic Church leaders in the Marshall Island's directing their parishioners to stay away, a presentation by the Reverend Sun Myung Moon has attracted an audience of about 250.

The controversial 85-year-old religious leader gave his address in parliament's meeting room in Majuro.

The Reverend Moon spent about 15 hours in the capital before he and his entourage departed on his private jet Sunday morning.

He is nearing the end of his 100 city, 67 nation tour to promote establishment of his newest organization, the Universal Peace Federation.
