American Samoa's former territorial auditor, George Webster has filed legal action against the governor Togiola Tulafono and the American Samoa government.
Mr Webster is claiming unpaid wages of close to US$8,000 and US$100 reimbursement of travel expenses during the time he worked as lead auditor.
The contention surrounds the exact date Mr Webster's contract was terminated by the governor.
