Fiji' Mineral Resources Department issued a tsunami warning for coastal areas near Labasa and the north west coast of Viti Levu yesterday after an undersea earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale 160km north west of Labasa .
People living along coastal areas were advised to be on alert and be ready to evacuate.
A report received late last night says there have been no reports of damage or a tsunami.
