ANZ Amerika Samoa Bank has filed an application with US regulators to establish two mobile branches in American Samoa to serve banking needs of its customers in more remote areas.

The bank said in a public notice that the mobile branches will mainly be located in the areas surrounding the tuna canneries for two to three days a week.

For the remainder of each week, they will be located in areas that are considered to best suit the banking needs of the eastern and western districts of Tutuila Island.

The public has been asked to provide comments on the proposal, which is required by federal regulation.
