New Zealand's shot putter Valerie Vili has confirmed just how good her form is leading into the Commonwealth Games again breaking the New Zealand domestic record over the weekend at an athletics meeting in Auckland.

The Tongan athletes throw of 19.44 metres bettered the record she set in Hamilton mid week by five centimetres.

Vili who had a strong season finishing third at the world champ says she's more than happy with her results so far.

She says it's been a great year winning a medal at the World championships and improving her world ranking to number two.
