American Samoa's Governor, Togiola Tulafono, is expected to sign into law today, the 10 million US dollar loan for the territory's LBJ Medical Centre.

Despite saying he still had some concerns about the move, Togiola said he was signing the bill on the strength of the hospital's draft fiscal reform plan.

He said the reform plan needs work but should be finalized by the time the loan proceeds are transmitted from the American Samoa Government Employees Retirement Fund to the government.

The loan will be repaid by the government owned American Samoa TeleCommunications Authority.
