French minister tipped to visit Pacific next month

Reports say the French overseas minister François Baroin, is expected to visit the Pacific territories next month.

It's set to be Mr Baroin's first visit to New Caledonia, French Polynesia, and Wallis and Futuna.

A detailed schedule of his trip has not been made public.

French Polynesia's President Oscar Temaru is expected to travel to Paris, later this month, where he's expected to talk about French aid over the next five years.
