Body of Guam soldier killed in Iraq set to be repatriated

The body of a Guam soldier who was killed in Iraq is expected to return to the island tonight.

The Pacific Daily News reports a ceremony will be held at the airport in honour of Private Kasper Dudkiewicz.

The 22-year-old died on the 15th of January in the northern city of Mosul, Iraq, when the Humvee in which he was the gunner was involved in a vehicle collision.

Private Dudkiewicz is the 12th Micronesian to die in the current Iraq conflict.

It will be the second ceremony at the airport for the returning of a Guam soldier's body this month.
