Solomon Islands police have confirmed that two Solomon Islanders were injured when a group from neighbouring Bougainville staged an armed robbery last week on Ovou Island in Western Province.
Local police say at least four Bougainvilleans were involved in the raid at a logging camp on Thursday.
Three police have been sent to the island to investigate the attack in which a boat, fuel, a chain saw and a radio set were taken.
