The eight people arrested in Samoa for alleged involvement in an allegedly large-scale drug syndicate will appear in court next Monday.

They are being held at Tafaigata Prison on drug-related offences and other charges.

The Police Commissioner Papali'itele Lorenese Neru told the Samoa Observer that investigations were continuing and more arrests are likely.

The Commissioner says their names are being withheld because officers are still investigating.
