Authorities in Solomon Islands are still refusing to name a date for the general election, set to be in early April.
The Speaker and chairman of the election commission, Sir Peter Kenilorea has confirmed the National Elections must be held by the 20th of April, which marks four months after the dissolution of parliament.
A government statement says polling day will be 42 days after the governor general, Nathaniel Waena, makes an official proclamation.
In line with this schedule, any declaration can't be expected until Saturday next week at the earliest, and by the 10th of March at the latest.
