Leader of the Samoa Party, Su'a Rimoni Ah Chong, has moved to correct claims made by the Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Sailele.
He said the Prime Minister was wrong when he said that Su'a was not dismissed by the government, but had walked out.
According to the Samoa Observer, Tuilaepa claimed the now opposition leader walked out when a financial request he had made was turned down.
But Su'a insisted he had been sacked by the government as Controller and Chief Auditor.
He played a tape recording for reporters of the motion in Parliament to sack Su'a, which was later carried.
