American Samoa is expected to again tell the United Nations Decolonization Committee that its a territory of the United States and should be delisted.

A senior Administration official says the issue will be raised at the Pacific Seminar next month in Timor-Leste, formerly known as East Timor.

Meanwhile, the UN has released its report on American Samoa as part of the committee's annual report on the 16 non-self governing territories

The page report notes American Samoa's position during last year's Caribbean Seminar, which was for the people of the territory to retain their current political status with the US.
