A delegation of 29 Chinese businesspeople, including the Chinese deputy minister for tourism, is in Samoa for three days.

The delegation is exploring what Samoa has to offer in its tourism sector.

Autagavaia Tipi Autagavaia reports from Apia.

"A delegation official says that after their visit in Samoa they will return and tell the Chinese tourists, that Samoa is definitely a very beautiful country, has a pretty landscape, and its people are very warm and hospitable. The delegation has met the airline industry, hotel operators and other business officials in Samoa's private sector to discuss various issues. The group will visit the island of Savaii tomorrow before returning home. The visit coincides with the Chinese government's offer of a sweeping package of economic aid to Samoa and other Pacific island states that support a one-China policy."
