The American Samoa High Court has sentenced Victor Sepulona to 20 years in jail for his part in the death of Wyatt Bowles Junior in 2003.
Sepulona is the last of the defendants charged in connection with the Bowles murder to be sentenced.
It was revealed at his sentencing this morning that he had entered a plea agreement in 2003, pleading guilty to second degree murder and to testify in the murder trial of Richard Mahjor.
Sepulona has been in jail since his arrest in March 2003 and will be credited for that time.
His attorney Salanoa Aumoeualogo asked the court for a ten year sentence saying that Sepulona was just 19 at the time of the incident and was not able to think clearly about what he was doing.
Associate Justice Lyle Richmond said he didn't see any reason why Sepulona should be treated different from his co defendant, Talofa Seumanu who was sentenced last month to 20 years in jail.
