7:03 am on 20 June 2006

The Supreme Court in Samoa will today hear the final submissions from lawyers representing the petitioner and the first respondent in the election petition from

Aleipata Itupa I Lalo constituency.

The case was scheduled to be heard within six days starting on the first week of June but public holidays had disrupted proceedings.

The next election petition hearing will be the case between former Opposition MP Patea Satini Epati, who was defeated in this year's election, against the elected MP and former Manu Samoa player Solamalemalo Keneti Sio.
