The police in American Samoa will be providing security during the screening of the The Da Vinci Code movie on June the 30th.

According to the Samoa News, the move follows an incident early this month when the manager of a movie cinema was allegedly attacked by a youth pastor.

The newspaper quotes, Heather Wright, vice president of marketing of Hollywood Theatres in Honolulu as saying that local police have offered their services for the movie's opening.

The Hollywood Theatres in Honolulu oversees the Wallace Nu'uuli Cinema Theatre in Pago Pago.

Heather Wright says the police may not be needed, but the company is being cautious.
