Celebrations are under way in Tonga to mark King Taufa'ahou Tupou IV's birthday.
The King turns 88 tomorrow and has returned from New Zealand, where he has been undergoing medical care, for the celebrations.
Primary school children are holding a parade today and presenting the king with presents.
Our correspondent, Mateni Tapueluelu, says tomorrow is a national public holiday and big celebrations are planned.
"They have a military parade where the King will inspect the military of Tonga. He is the chief commander of the military in Tonga, and that's like the peak show, apart from the traditional prayers and feast that they have."
