New Zealand take ten of the gold medal winning players to Australia

The Silver Ferns have retained ten of their players who won netball gold at the Commonwealth Games for their two tests against Australia and one against South Africa later this month.

The Otago Rebels mid-courter Debbie White is the only new cap, while the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic defender Joline Henry has earned a recall after strong performances in the National Bank Cup.

Ruth Aitken says the selection of only three specialist shooters - Irene van Dyk, Maria Tutaia, and Belinda Colling - will be enough.

She says there's a number of young shooters getting close to selection, but wants to see them prove themselves internationally at under-21 level first.

Ruth Aitken says the under 21 squad will be in Brisbane, and two training partners will be named later in the week - as cover in case of injury.
