A report issued by Papua New Guinea police reveals that more than 200 prisoners have escaped from one of the country's main jails over the past six years.

And the report says just one of the prisoners from Lae's Buimo prison has been recaptured.

The National newspaper says those still at large include 15 of the most wanted criminals on the files of Lae police, including a double murderer and two men described by police as absolutely dangerous.
