Samoa's police commissioner has denied reports of a Samoan police officer being put under house arrest in Solomon Islands.

Earlier reports said the officer was placed under arrest after allowing a Samoan journalist into the RAMSI compound without proper authority.

Police Commissioner, Papali'i Lorenese Neru, says there has been no arrest and the officer is still reporting for work outside the base in his role as a general duties advisor.

Papali'i does say a senior liaison officer with RAMSI is being investigated for breaching orders.
