The government in American Samoa is looking at China to boost tourism in the territory.

Governor Togiola Tulafono said an American Samoa delegation will be travelling to China in September to promote the territory to the Chinese.

During this trip, the governor will announce that American Samoa will host the 2008 Pacific Arts Festival, attracting a wide range of arts and culture from the region.

Togiola also will provide information to the Chinese about doing business in American Samoa.

He said he hopes to attract companies that are interested in exporting goods to the U.S. market under certain tax credits offered by the United States government.
