The South Korean Government is keen to invest in Papua New Guinea's vast petroleum and mineral resources sector.

South Korea has signed a memorandum to promote cooperation in energy and mineral resources and exchange information relating to licencing, policy, regulation, technology exploration and trade in PNG.

The Post Courier reports the agreement was signed in Port Moresby yesterday.

A joint committee has been appointed to meet on mutually agreed dates alternately in South Korea and PNG.
