The Solomon Islands Foreign Affairs Minister says successful trade between Melenesian Spearhead Group members will only happen in a secure environment.
Patterson Oti, head of the Solomon Islands delegation, told senior MSG officials at a meeting in Buala that the key to prosperity is in a secure and stable environment.
Security is also one of the key issues at the gathering along with - trade.
Mr Oti says MSG leaders must look at global security threats and see the implications of this on sub regional countries.
