A by-election in Tonga has been won by 'Osai Laatu to fill the second seat for people's representatives from the Ha'apai group of islands.
'Osai Laatu won 1,082 votes which was 337 more than the runner-up Teisina Fuko won.
Eight candidates contested the seat which had become vacant when Fineasi Funaki was made a cabinet minister.
Just under 3,300 people voted in the by-election.
