Police in American Samoa believe six juveniles arrested for a burglary at a store in Pago Pago may be linked to a string of break ins in the Bay Area over the last couple of weeks.

Police say they are shocked by the tactics allegedly used by the suspects.

They say one of the older defendants held a bush knife to the neck of the store owner while the rest ransacked the supermarket and took off with beer, cigarettes and money.

The suspects aged 9 to 17 appeared in District Court this morning.

A 15 year old and a 17 year old, believed to be the ringleaders have been charged as adults.

They face charges of first degree robbery, burglary and third degree assault.
