2:13 pm on 11 August 2006

A New Zealand forensic expert on illegal drugs is expected to give evidence in the Supreme Court in Samoa on several cases involving possession of narcotics.

The cases have been adjourned until August the 18th for the scientist to appear in court in support of his report.

A government source says the attorney-general's office and the police requested

the expert's appearance after defendants facing possession of narcotics charges rejected the report's conclusions.
