Vanuatu chiefs want trouble making family out of Luganville

Vanuatu's Minister for Internal Affairs, George Wells, has confirmed that the Chiefs of Sanma Province have demanded that all members of the Ulas family leave the province by the end of the month.

Five members of the Ulas family were removed from the island of Santo two weeks ago after fighting with other family members.

They were flown to Port Vila and face charges of intentional assault.

Mr Wells is warning the chiefs that any decision they make has to be in line with the law.

He says the Ulas Family have been in Luganville for decades and also have some right to be there.
