An eighth soldier of Samoan descent is reported to have died in Iraq.
American Samoa congressman, Faleomavaega Eni made the announcement at the welcoming ceremony for a congressional delegation that stopped briefly in Pago Pago yesterday.
The congressman said the soldier's name and where he came from has not yet been released.
He said he hoped to have more information about the soldier's identity early next week.
