Former Samoan Cabinet Minister Mulitalo Siafausa Vui has rejected suggestions from his village that his daughter, Mulitalo Ella, should contest the upcoming Fa'asaleleaga No 4 by-election.
Mulitalo's election as MP for Faasaleleaga No 4 was voided by a court ruling last Wednesday which found Mulitalo guilty of bribery.
The petition was brought by Mulitalo's only challenger in the March general election, Su'a Rimoni Ah Chong, leader of the Samoa Party
Mulitalo is not permitted to contest the by-election.
