A week after a family home in Samoa was destroyed by fire in a suspected arson case, police have still not made any arrests.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Papali'i Li'o Taeu Masipa'u told the Samoa Observer that they have suspects but so far lack enough evidence to lay charges.

The home belonged to the extended family of Su'a RImoni Ah Chong, leader of the Samoa Party.

The fire broke out several hours after a court ruling which found Communications Minister Mulitalo Siafausa Vui guilty of bribery.

The election petition which led to the ruling was filed by Su'a who lost to Mulitalo in the March general election.
