Oil spill investigation goes ahead in PNG

Oil Search Limited and Papau New Guinea's Gulf Provincial Government have agreed to work together to investigate alleged impacts of the oil spill from the Kumul Marine Terminal on August 9

The Post Courier reports the agreement was reached between the Gulf Governor Chris Haiveta and the management of Oil Search.

Brisbane based Hydrobiology Pty Ltd, which will assess the impact of the spill on the environment, began work last Friday.
