The American Samoa Development Corporation or ASDC, the government entity that owns the Rainmaker Hotel, has selected Niu Technology to develop the hotel property.

The vice chairman of the ASDC board, Utu Abe Malae, is quoted by the Samoa News as saying the newly formed company will have five months to prepare the development and business plan.

At the end of five months, it is hoped that the formal lease will be signed for about 40 years and Niu Technology will make an investment of at least $3 million.

The company has already posted a non-refundable deposit of $10,000 as a sign of good faith.
