Solomon Islands and Nauru have agreed on a revised air service arrangement.

The Solomon Islands Broadcasting Coporation reports the Minister for Aviation Patrick Vahoe and his Nauruan counterpart, Kieren Keke signed the agreement on behalf of their countries.

The Civil Aviation's Bill MacGregor says Air Nauru which is operating as "Our Airline", will recommence flights with its own Boeing-737 on a twice weekly schedule between Nauru and Brisbane through Honiara.

The arrangement permits Air Nauru to drop off and pick up passengers as it passes through Honiara thus increasing the options for the travelling public to and from Australia and Nauru from Honiara.

Meanwhile Alliance Airlines, who were chartered to fly the Air Nauru route from Brisbane to Nauru, will no longer do so.
