A new Chief Executive of the Fiji-based South Pacific Geo-Science Commission, SOPAC, will be chosen by member countries during its next meeting in the Solomon Islands capital, Honiara.
Almost 200 regional and international delegates will attend the meeting which begins tomorrow.
Scientists will be presenting their findings on latest technological advances under the auspices of SOPAC.
Solomon Islands last hosted a SOPAC meeting 20 years ago.
