The Election Office in American Samoa has launched a media campaign to encourage eligible voters to register in time to vote for the November 7th general election.

The move is part of a U.S. initiative spearheaded by the National Association of Secretaries of State, a non nonpartisan association of the nation's chief state election officials to get more people to vote this election year.

Election officials in Pago Pago says its important that eligible people register to vote and have their voice heard in territorial politics.

Voter registration will end on October 10th

Voters in American Samoa will cast ballots this year for the Delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives and the 20 elected seats for the local House of Representatives.
