Samoa and American Samoa are today marking White Sunday.
The day was set aside more than a century ago by members of the London Missionary Society, to honor children in Samoa.
White Sunday gets its name from the all white ensemble that the children wear to church...from white flowers and accessories in their hair, to white outfits, and shoes.
The White Sunday meal is usually the biggest feast of the year for many families, even outdoing Christmas.
