Samoa is launching a three month campaign to promote its coconuts in eastern Australia.

About 15,000 U.S. dollars will be spent on marketing coconut exports at more than 1200 supermarkets from October to December.

The Samoa Observer newspaper reports that 250,000 fresh coconuts will be distributed.

The promotion is being organised by FMP Marketing and the Pacific Islands Trade and Investment Commission in Sydney, and Samoa's Aggie Grey's Resort & Spa.
