Marshall Islands adds voice to condemnation of nuke test in North Korea

The Marshall Islands has joined the condemnation of this week's apparent nuclear test in North Korea.

The president, Kessai Note, told the Nitijela that the Marshallese people placed their lives and land for the 'good of mankind' and to end and prevent the use of nuclear weapons.

He noted that many Marshallese remain affected by the nuclear tests of more that 50 years ago.

President Note says the testing impacts on the security of the Asia-Pacific region.
