USP journalists newspaper celebrates 10 years

The University of the South Pacific journalism staff have celebrated the 10th anniversary of the student training newspaper, Wansolwara.

Among attendees were the divisional head of USP journalism Shailendra Singh, journalism lecturers Dr Charu Uppal and Pat Craddock, and the acting head of the School of Language, Arts and Media, Dr France Mugler.

To date, the USP journalism programme has produced more than 90 graduates working for 30 media employers in nine Pacific countries.

There are around 60 students currently enrolled in the programme, which plans to offer distance learning and post-graduate courses from next year.
