Samoa's Minister of Police, Tole'afoa Apulu Fa'afisi, is leading the investigation into the car crash which involved the police commissioner, Papali'i Lorenese Neru, about a week ago.

It comes after an advice from the Attorney General, Brenda Heather Latu, that the minister should take the lead as the police commissioner was involved in the accident.

The police minister says he could not comment further while the investigation is underway.

Meanwhile the acting commissioner, Papali'i Li'o, who is part of the minister's investigating team, says police are looking for a taxi which the commissioner has alleged was the cause of the accident.
