Police in Solomon Islands say preparations for a memorial service are underway for the families of three police officers, who went missing last month.
On September 28, three officers, one of them an inspector, went missing while travelling by boat between Yandina in the Russell Islands and Honiara, and are now presumed dead.
Police say despite an extensive search and rescue operation, the trio have never been found, although debris belonging to the missing boat was found washed onto shore on an island near Yandina.
