American Samoa's Governor wants Hawaiian airlines to have enough seats

American Samoa's Governor Togiola Tulafono wants an air service order for Hawaiian Air to provide enough seating on flights between Honolulu and Pago Pago, enforced.

He has asked the US Department of Transportation to immediately enforce the order for the airline to provide 599 seats on its weekly flights.

The governor said Hawaiian is violating the order for nearly four years, since the airline switched from DC10s to 767 planes.

The governor has told the department that his government wants the order fully enforced, which would require Hawaiian Air to put on an extra weekly flight.
