Solomons police pay tribute to three officers missing and feared drowned

The Solomon Islands Police Force have paid tribute to three fellow officers who are feared dead after their boat failed to arrive at Yandina from Honiara last month.

Inspector Justus Waimani, Constable Walter Ratu and Constable Stanley Piziki have not been found despite an extensive search by helicopters, both patrol boats and a number of small craft.

All three served officers at Yandina Police Station.

The Police Commissioner paid tribute to the men during a Memorial Service saying the police force owed a great deal to then for their service to the country and the people of Solomon Islands.
