A moderate magnitude earthquake hit the Indonesian province of Papua yesterday, but there were no reported casualties or damage.
The AAP news agency says the meteorology office in Jakarta believe the earthquake measured 5 point 3 on the Richter scale and was centred 33km under the ground some 185km southwest of the Papuan capital of Jayapura.
